CAIRO – 18 March 2021: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussed a number of regional issues, including the situation in Libya, as well as the developments in the Ethiopian dam crisis during a phone call, Tuesday. The two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the Ethiopian dam crisis. “The president stressed that the dam issue is a national security matter to Egypt” the spokesman said. Sisi affirmed that reaching a legally binding agreement on clear rules of filling and operating the dam is a must. In January 2020, Sisi meet with Johnson 10 Downing Street in London as they discussed cooperation between both countries.
