President Museveni speaks on infrastructure, economy in State Of The Nation AddressThe government has placed tourism among its top priorities for enhanced economic growth. In his State of the Nation address President Yoweri Museveni indicated that the improvement of infrastructure like tarmacking the 100-kilometre road from Kitgum to Kidepo Park is about to start. The president said that tourism has exhibited a high potential for growth with a contribution of 6.3 per cent to GDP even though the sector is not fully tapped.
