Melissa Lantsman, deputy coleader of Canada’s Conservatives, told Lai that Taiwan is a trusted partner. In a statement on Monday, the two Liberal Party members — Helena Jaczek and Marie-France Lalonde — said they would end their trip to Taiwan early.
