President Md Abdul Hamid will visit India in the second week of March to join the International Solar Alliance (ISA) summit, diplomatic sources in both Dhaka and Delhi say. However, Bangladesh is sending in President Hamid to attend the summit. President Hamid had visited India in December 2014 at the invitation of his counterpart Pranab Mukherjee who retired in 2017. The summit of the ISA, led by India and France, will take place on March 11 at Delhi’s President House. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro and Bangladesh’s President Hamid will attend the summit as special guests.
