By RICK GREEN, THE LACONIA DAILY SUNLACONIA — City Councilor Armand Bolduc, who is suffering from abdominal cancer, made a brief appearance at the start of the Monday night City Council meeting. He has served on the City Council for 34 years and is mayor pro tem. He filled in for Mayor Ed Engler for four months while Engler received treatment in California for colon cancer. After his brief remarks, Bolduc took a photo with council members and then, using a cane, left City Hall with family members, stopping to shake hands and embrace some in the audience on his way out.
