A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the president landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12pm on Sunday. Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu and Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq along with senior military and government officials received Hamid at the airport. The president went to London on Aug 28 for treatment at the Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital. The 73-year old has been suffering from glaucoma for a long time. Hamid used to visit Singapore regularly for his eye treatment, while he was the Speaker of Parliament.
