CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: A pregnant 16-year-old girl survived a gun attack on Tuesday morning while waiting for a ride along Father Masterson Avenue in Upper Carmen. Vicky, not her real name, of Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, accompanied by her mother, had just attended a court hearing when unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen fired at her face. She was rushed at the nearby hospital and was reported in crucial condition as of press time. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim and her mother attended a hearing of the case at the Hall of Justice filed by the victim against a police officer based in Misamis Oriental. The victim worked as a house helper of the policeman but went home after filing an attempted rape against her employer.
