Fuel guzzling earth movers are moving around on the southern bund of the Ukkadam Big Tank with the usual noise that deafens the sounds from engines. The earth movers scoop out the thorny buses on the inner and outer slopes of the slope. The Court passed the direction while hearing a petition seeking removal of encroachments in tanks and preventing further encroachments. \Sources in the Coimbatore Corporation say that based on instructions from Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan earth movers have been moving around the Tank – on the northern, western and southern bunds.
