Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon has already cast his ballot to vote in the charter referendum and encouraged other people to fullow suit. Gen Prawit, also defence minister, showed up at polling unit No.11 at the mouth of Soi Lat Phrao 71 in Wang Thong Lang district shortly after 8am to vote. He encouraged all eligible voters to turn up to vote, saying that the referendum result would show what they want the most for the country. Gen Prawit, who is in charge of the country's security affairs, said people should not worry there would be a protest or an untoward incident because each of the polling unit is well protected. He believed the referendum would be fair and transparent.
