My commute to work along the metro corridor exposes me to the various challenges that people face in accessing Metro stations. In fact, the benefits of travel time savings that the Metro provides may be lost if first and last-mile connectivity issues are not addressed on a priority basis. But, what kind of last-mile connectivity will work in our city? With the advent of technology and the growing trend of shared mobility, there is an opportunity to integrate carpool and shared services to provide last-mile connectivity. In this context, it is worth looking at the STAMP platform created by World Resources Institute India and Toyota Mobility Foundation, bringing together citizen groups, startups, government agencies, and corporate leaders to power the future of Bengaluru's urban mobility.
