DHAKA, Feb 12, 2026 (BSS) - Postal voting in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS)election and referendum recorded an 80.11 percent turnout, according to theElection Commission (EC). Of them, 12, 24,188 casttheir votes, accounting for 80.11 percent of the approved registrants. He said returning officers received 11, 65,592 postal ballots, representing76.28 percent of the total votes cast. Salim Ahmad Khan added that postal ballots from 4,98,266 expatriate votersreached Bangladesh, of which returning officers accepted 4,98,205 ballots. Meanwhile, returning officers also received votes from 6,67,388 votersresiding inside the country under the In-Country Postal Voting (ICPV) System.
