Children petitioned the Central Otago District Council in 2016 to help fund a toilet to stop members of the public doing their business in their school yard. Poosistance has paid off for a Central Otago school that's grounds were being used as a toilet by tourists. A public toilet opened outside the small school in Tarras on Thursday after the school and community successfully lobbied local and central government for help.
