This was mostly made up of CIOs of companies with a billion dollars in revenue and above. When asked to compare IT budgets for 2020 compared to 2019, 43 percent indicated that budgets had risen, and another 20 percent indicated they were at the same level. 42 percent of respondents indicated that these initiatives have accelerated significantly, and another 30 percent indicated that they have somewhat accelerated. 30 percent of respondents indicated that 40 to 60 percent of their budgets are focused on revenue generating initiatives, and another 32 percent indicated that 20 to 40 percent of budgets were likewise focused. Remarkably, 18 percent of respondents had greater than 60 percent of IT budgets focused on revenue-generating activities.
