Policemen reject RM50k bribe offer by suspected drug dealers caught at Alor Star roadblock [VIDEO]


ALOR STAR: Kedah police seized two pistols and more than 60 live bullets from two men during a roadblock at the North-South Expressway's Alor Star North toll plaza here. Also seized from the men were drugs worth RM65,000 and a packet of straws, believed to be used for packaging the drugs. Kedah police chief Datuk Asri Yusof said the two men had even offered a RM50,000 bribe to the policemen to let them off the hook. “The duo, who tested positive for heroin, have been remanded for seven days until Jan 14,” he told a press conference today. He said the men were being investigated under Firearms Act 1971, Arms Act 1960, Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and also the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
