A police constable in Pakistan's Ghotki district was arrested today for torturing an aged Hindu man for selling edibles before Iftar, the Dawn.com reported. The complainant in the case is Vindod Kumar, grandson of victim Gokal Das. Constable Ali Hassan was arrested on the charges of torturing and injuring Gokal Das. Constable Hassan posted in Ghotki district's Hayat Pitafi town was arrested on the charges of torturing and injuring Gokal Das, the police said. NETIZENS DEMAND JUSTICEThe cops were forced to arrest accused Ali Hassan after netizens launched a social media campaign calling for justice for Gokal Das.
