The statement further indicated that their activities are mainly carried out on social media where they advertise employment opportunities and wait for prospective online job seekers to take the bait. They demand payments for training and subsequently invite their victims for supposed training programs. After all procedures are concluded and all monies taken from the victim, they harass them in various forms and then demand that the victims provide other individuals in exchange for their freedom. The Ghana Police Service in the statement thus cautioned all job seekers to beware of such groups and seek professional help in finding jobs online.
