He said he finally decided to come back home to work with the GFA after the sixth time of asking. “At a point I felt that there was nothing to achieve or challenge me anymore at the BBC. I had reached the very top, won awards and also learnt a lot from some of the greatest journalists in the world because the BBC is the greatest media house in the world. Saanie Daara joined the BBC in 2004 from Accra base Choice FM where for the preceding eight years he worked as the BBC's Africa Football website correspondent as well as hosting radio programs; Fast Track, Focus on Africa and Network Africa's sports segments until 2012.
