In Chiang Rai, officers from Phan district police were deployed about 5pm on Friday after receiving intelligence about suspicious activities involving the collection of voter names and cash allegedly intended for vote-buying during the final stretch of the campaign. The suspect said he had been contacted by a local broker who instructed him to collect and submit voter names.
