NewsPolice have uncovered information on two suspects involved in a series of thefts and for plotting the murder of a businessman. Upon questioning, Police had learn that the suspects had looted gold from a shop in Ingiriya last month by threatening employees. Around 17 pounds of stolen gold had then been recovered from the suspects. Further, the suspects are also believed to have been involved in plotting the murder of a businessman and and the robbery of a Sanasa Bank in Avissawella. The suspects, A. Wijepala and D. Ollivera, are to be produced before the Horana Magistrate's Court today.
