The barricades were put up in the morning in front of the Sanam Luang Gate, as the “We Want Election” group leaders announced they would start the march at 9am. At 7.30am, Rangsiman Rome insisted the march would start at 9am. He said the demonstrators would use just one lane on roads during the march and would not block roads. He said the demonstrators did not want to cause any turmoil or prolong the protest and they were unarmed.
