IPOH: A police sergeant claimed trial in a Sessions Court here to accepting a RM800 bribe. Bahir Yaakob, 49, attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, pleaded not guilty when the charged was read to him before Judge S. Indera Nehru. DPP Ahmad Ghazali Muhamad Nadzri, who appeared for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, requested bail be set at RM15,000. "This is the first time my client is charged in court. Indera Nehru set bail at RM12,000 with one surety, and fixed April 17 for mention.
