Vancouver Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision in East Vancouver Saturday night. A 62-year-old woman was walking across the intersection of Victoria Drive near William Street around 7:30 p.m. PT, when she was hit by a silver Volkswagen Jetta. Jason DoucetteThe vehicle, which was going southbound, did not stop and was last seen turning west within two blocks of the collision, according to Vancouver Police. Police say the woman was hit by the front of the car and was tossed several metres, before landing in the northbound traffic lane. Police say the woman was crossing east to west at this intersection when she was struck by the car, which was going south.
