A blizzard warning is in place for the eastern half of New Brunswick with showers expected to mix with snow early this afternoon in the south, forcing some schools to close. In the Francophone South School District schools are closed in Miramichi, Richibucto, Rogersville, Saint-Louis-de-Kent and Baie-Sainte-Anne. "Strong northwest winds and very cold temperatures will develop this afternoon and combine with the fresh snow to give very poor visibilities in blowing snow late this afternoon and tonight," warned Environment Canada. Allen said all three Maritime provinces will see snow and blowing snow this evening along with high winds.
