He said that there was no fear of any terror attacks that could jeopardise festivities during the largest celebration of the Hindu community. Mia on Wednesday also said that the government had taken elaborate security arrangements to thwart any attack during this year's Durga Puja. The DMP chief said that the 225 puja pavilions in Dhaka would be provided separate security covers through classifying them into groups. All these puja venues would be under CCTV surveillance and carrying bags, knives and other weapons would be prohibited as part of the security measures. The number of puja venues, called 'mandaps', has gone up to 29,395 as against last year's 29,078.
