Police pursuit ends with stolen car abandoned in Hamilton's CBDAUDREY MALONE/FAIRFAX NZ Thieves abandoned a stolen car at the Rostrevor and Victoria streets intersection. Three Hamilton thieves abandoned a car in the CBD hoping to escape police. However, police pursued them so they stopped the car on the Rostrevor and Victoria Streets intersection, jumped out and ran away, a police spokesperson said. There was some damage to the abandoned stolen car, and police have not laid charges yet. Numerous cars drove up to the abandoned car, before it was towed, beeping trying to get it to move out of their way.
