In a bid to stop communal violence and maintain law and order around the country, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) has issued a security alert in all 64 districts. A number of SPs confirmed receiving the instruction and said they were asked to include civilians in the security measures as well. Sources at the PHQ said they identified a number of fake profiles spreading misleading information and photos to instigate violence. “There are even a number of fake profiles in the name of the PHQ. “Our officials are working to identify the individuals who are spreading misleading information by opening fake Facebook pages and profiles using the names of different people and organisations.
