A robber threatened a liquor store shopkeeper before making off with cash in Gisborne last night. Police are investigating the robbery, of the Red Door Liquor store in the Ballance St Village shopping centre in Ormond Rd. The robbery happened on Wednesday night. The offender, who had their face covered but is believed to be a man, entered the store about 7pm, police said. "He threatened the male shopkeeper and made off with a quantity of cash," said Acting Detective Sergeant Glen Yule.
