A jewellery store in Taupō was robbed on Monday. Police are hunting the driver of a vehicle involved in a jewel heist in Taupō. The jewellery store on Tamamutu St was robbed about 12.45pm on Monday. A man smashed a glass case in the store and stole a number of items, a police media spokesperson said in a release. One person was arrested at the scene but police are still hunting the second person and vehicle thought to be involved.
