Jack's sale price was the highest in the 63-year history of PGG Wrightson's annual Ashburton sheep and cattle dog sale and well clear of the average $3900 price on the day. The heading dog went under the hammer after his owner, retired South Canterbury farmer Peter Boys, moved into a retirement home.
