Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shorafuzzaman Ansari fixed May 15 as the new deadline for the police on Sunday. This is the 11th time that the court has approved time extension for the police, said court police’s Sub-Inspector Jalal Ahmed. Detective Branch’s Senior Assistant Commissioner Hasan Arafat failed to submit the report on Sunday and asked for more time. Ceaser intended to harm Joy and received $30,000 from “a Bangladeshi journalist” for providing him with the information, according to US court documents. Shafik Rehman, former editor of Bangla-language newspaper Jai Jai Din, and Amar Desh's acting Editor Mahmudur Rahman have been questioned in remand over the case.
