File photo: A worker stitches PPEs Mahmud Hossain Opu/DhakaTribune'Beximco PPE Division, a new division of Beximco Group, produced the international standard PPE and masks'Seven private banks on Tuesday donated 100,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) and the same number of masks to Bangladesh Police. “The seven banks handed over the international standard PPE and masks to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed at police headquarters,” said Sohel Rana, assistant inspector general (media and public relations) of Police Headquarters (PHQ), in a press release. “The IGP has praised the great initiative and expressed his gratitude to the banks for helping police work during the Covid-19 pandemic,” he added. The banks are International Finance Investment and Commerce Bank Limited (IFIC Bank), Bank Asia Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd, First Security Islami Bank Limited, National Bank Limited, and United Commercial Bank (UCB). “Beximco PPE Division, a new division of Beximco Group, produced the international standard PPE and masks,” said the AIG.
