A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on Portland Rd in Remuera, Auckland. Police were "following" a speeding motorcyclist through Auckland before he crashed and died in the suburb of Remuera. Tipene said the rider lost control of the motorbike and crashed on Portland Rd. Debris was still strewn around crash site in the morning. She said the area at the bottom of the Portland Rd hill was notorious for crashes, and more warning signage was needed.
