Other than leaders resigning for crimes committed by their juniors, avoiding accountability for crime, suggests not only approval but allowing moral disintegration of society. Kenyan leaders must embrace culture of resignation when they commit crimes or crimes are committed under them. But it is not inconceivable that from killing a lawyer, the police will move to killing a judge. As Presidents Kenyatta and Moi terrorized Kenyans with assassination of their popular leaders like Pio Gama Pinto, Tom Mboya, J.M. Yet accepting responsibility for crimes that others commit under them does not mean leaders will be accepting commission of those crimes.
