A search is continuing for a Dunedin man who led police on a chase north of the city yesterday. The man was described as 190cm in height, european, skinny and was last seen wearing dark coloured trousers and a dark coloured t-shirt. Police officers and dogs from Oamaru and Dunedin were called to Palmerston to try to catch the 41-year-old. Senior Constable Stefan Witehira, of Palmerston, said a vehicle stolen from Brighton early yesterday was found at a Palmerston address. The offender ran off through neighbouring properties, discarding cell phones into a drain as he went, Snr Const Witehira said.
