Police consider icy road factor in one of two fatal Alberta road accidents

Separate road accidents in Alberta have left three people dead and four others injured. RCMP say two people, both females, died when their eastbound sport-utility vehicle collided with a westbound SUV Wednesday afternoon on Highway 11, west of Red Deer. Two people in the second vehicle were taken to hospital, while the driver of a car that struck the two SUVs was treated at the scene. Mounties say icy road conditions were a factor in the accident.
