Police have arrested a man after an early-morning car chase through Christchurch streets. A police spokesman said the chase started around 3am in the Sydenham/Waltham area when the driver failed to stop for police. Residents took to the Facebook group Christchurch Police Check Points to describe the chase, starting near the Countdown supermarket on Colombo St in Sydenham. The car was then reported near Ferry Rd in Waltham, "driving like a nutter".
