The black Nissan Murano was found partially submerged in the water off Chepmell Rd, near Morrinsville, early on Sunday, Waikato police Senior Sergeant Ray Malcolmson said. PPHILLIPA YALDEN/FAIRFAX NZ This bridge on Chepmell Rd, between Hamilton and Morrinsville, was damaged in a crash on Saturday night. Malcolmson said the owner's wife phoned police to report her husband had been driving the car and managed to escape uninjured. Emergency services also responded to a four car crash causing traffic chaos at the intersection of State Highway 23 and 39 at Whatawhata, on the outskirts of Hamilton, on Sunday afternoon.
