By THOMAS P. CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNLACONIA — Police on Monday charged a 26-year-old man with setting a quickly-extinguished fire in his apartment at 391 Main St. on June 20. Police arrested James N. Eddy yesterday at Lakes Region General Hospital where he had been taken for evaluation after the fire in his apartment. Firefighters received the call at 8:50 a.m., and the crew was in and out in less than an hour. Landlord David Gilbert said the tenant had moved into the four-room apartment just two weeks earlier and described him as having behavioral problems. He said two small fires had been set under the windows in two of the rooms, damaging the baseboard and mini-blinds.
