The students went ahead to burn SONU offices and Mamlaka hostels as they protest over election of Babu. The students went on rampage protesting the outcome of students’ union elections. Police on Monday night arrested expelled University of Nairobi SONU contender Mike Jacobs over the burning of their offices last month. Jacobs was arrested in the city following the issuance of a warrant to arrest him and others at large. Jacobs was a contender for the position of SONU chairman but lost to Babu Owino who has already been sworn in.
