THE police on Friday arraigned a 65 -year-old property developer, Folashade Aworunshe after she failed to produce three women she stood as surety for in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos. The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June 11 at CPX Squad Lagos State Command, Ikeja. He said that the defendant stood as surety for Nimotu Onisemitu, Mutiat Adeoye and Falilat Aregbe, who were arrested for alleged conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretences. The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 97 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Magistrate B.O Osunsanmi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N800,000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.
