Peter Dada, AkureThe Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, on Friday announced a cabinet reshuffle as he changed the portfolios of some of his commissioners. The development came barely 24 hours after he inaugurated five new commissioners and two special advisers, as well as the new caretaker chairmen of the 18 local government areas of the state. According to the statement, nine of the commissioners retained their positions, four were assigned to other ministries, while five newly inaugurated cabinet members were allocated portfolios. Two newly appointed special advisers, Mr. Oyebo Aladetan and Mr. Kolawole Babatunde, were appointed to handle Niger Delta Affairs and Rural and Community Development respectively. “The governor has directed the affected commissioners and special advisers to hand over all necessary documents in their possessions within the next one week,” the statement said.
