Guthrie said police worked with Wenita to prevent illegal hunting in the area, which included officers stopping vehicles on Big Stone Rd. "Illegal hunting is a significant issue in Southern District that has the potential to put legitimate hunters and other people's safety at risk. "Police will remain active in investigating allegations of illegal hunting and associated offending and will also continue to conduct operations that aim to prevent illegal hunting and keep people safe."
