A Queensland police officer is injured and an armed man is on the run after shots were allegedly fired during a traffic stop west of Brisbane on Monday. QLD Police confirmed an officer was injured in the Lockyer Valley, at Seventeen Mile, just outside Toowoomba. "Initial information suggests shots were fired at police in Seventeen Mile, and a police vehicle has been involved in a traffic incident," police said in a statement. Police are currently at the scene of an incident in the Lockyer Valley where an officer has been injured. Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area surrounding Wallers Road, Forestry Road, Ringwood Road and Fords Road.
