Niantic has come out and confirmed the existence and arrival of Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO with a new trailer. The spot confirms what I’ve been predicting for a while, that Pokémon GO Fest players in Chicago will be tasked with defeating Legendary Pokémon, which will then in turn unlock them for the rest of the world. There’s Moltres 28,000 CP, Articuno 30,000 CP, Zapdos 29,000 CP, Ho-Oh 32,000 CP, Lugia 35,000 CP. I’m not sure if the same five minute battle window will apply to the actual encounter. Though I’m sure it will be possible to complete with less than that (but I’d definitely shoot for 10-15 at minimum)You have to be “invited” to participate in a Legendary Raid with a special pass.
