But GO’s AR tech has improved over time, and now, finally, Pokémon GO is getting a feature that seemed like a no brainer since launch 2.5 years ago: An AR photography mode. I remember loading up Pokémon GO and then trying to figure out how I could take a picture of my newly caught Pokémon hanging out in the world. But you couldn’t do that, you could only take screenshots of wild Pokémon, and then later GO added a photo mode specifically for wild encounters. Many of them are quite good, and usually feel like far more than just a Pokémon floating overlaid onto the world. So if you’re on Android, check it out now, and if you’re on iOS, keeping waiting for a bit longer.
