The late poet ARD Fairburn’s former waterfront villa in Devonport is on the market.The character villa, which has a 2017 CV of $5.2 million, was built in 1880 for Oliver Mays' family - it stands on the corner of King Edward Parade and Mays Road. This stunning Devonport character villa comes with an interesting history – it was home to acclaimed poet ARD (Rex) Fairburn for 11 years, from 1946 to 1957 (when he died), and is on the Devonport Heritage Trail. Listing agent Linda Simmons of Bayleys says the house has a history of long tenures by the owners. And, unusually for Devonport, the property offers five-car garaging in the basement.
