more-inAgriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy monitored the arrangements for the distribution of cheques under the Rythu Bandhu scheme to farmers at Gurjakunta in Biknoor mandal on Thursday. Accompanied by Government Whip G. Govardhan, Collector N. Satyanarayana, Joint Collector S. Sathaiah, Superintendent of Police N. Swetha and other officials he observed the mock distribution exercise at the village. He instructed the officials to make foolproof arrangements for the distribution of cheques worth about ₹4,000 to each eligible farmer. If a farmer was unable to come to the meeting, officials would go to his house and deliver it, he said. The programme would begin on April 20 and continue till May 20, said the Minister.
