A quick-thinking lollipop man stopped young school children from walking into the path of an oncoming van as they crossed a road. Dashcam footage shows two girls, along with an adult, starting to cross the road near Manadon Vale Primary School, in Plymouth. Although the lollipop man, Peter Curgenven, is standing in the road holding his 'stop' sign, a white van - which had been waiting to turn right - chooses this moment to head towards them. The clip was taken this week by Danny Elsey, a single father who had just finished the school run at Manadon Vale. 'He cut in front of me... didn't even look at the lollipop man.
