more-inA PIL plea before the Madras High Court on Friday asked for a judicial enquiry commission, headed by retired High Court judge, to ascertain the cause of death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The first bench of Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice M. Sundar said that it would hear it on October 23. “I submit the death is mysterious. There appears to be human negligence and malafides and the real cause cannot be ascertained based on the available hospital records. A local inspection of the body is necessary and unless it is ordered the society will be put to serious and irreparable hardship,” said S.A. Miyajan of Ayanavaram.
