more-inFilm actor Oviya alias Helen, a popular contestant in the ‘Bigg Boss’ reality show hosted by veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who recently exited on medical grounds, has been summoned by the Nazarathpet police in connection with a complaint alleging that she had attempted suicide inside the sets of the show. He claimed that on August 4, Vijay TV had telecast visuals of Oviya attempting to commit suicide by immersing herself in a pool inside the Bigg Boss house. He urged the police to probe into her alleged suicide bid. The complainant further alleged that her suicide attempt was triggered by depression caused by the activities forced on her by the producers, the show’s host and Vijay TV. Hence, they had driven her to attempt suicide and telecast the same to gain in TRP ratings, he alleged.
